If you're new to Karyon, welcome. Here's the short version of who we are and what we build: modular, Canadian-made tow-behind sleds for snowmobiles, ATVs, and UTVs, sometimes called toboggans or sleighs, designed to haul more, adapt to more jobs, and hold up to real Canadian winters.
What Is a Karyon Sled?
A Karyon Xtreme sled, sometimes called a toboggan, is a lightweight platform that attaches behind your snowmobile, ATV, or UTV. Instead of packing gear into a storage compartment or a backpack, you load it onto the sled and go. The base sled is rated to haul up to 1,800 lbs, depending on your configuration, and weighs approximately 65 lbs on its own.
Built From the Ground Up for Cold, Hard Use
Every Karyon sled is made from a special blend of polyethylene, with lightweight aluminum components for corrosion resistance, and reinforced construction designed to handle real off-road use, not just a groomed trail. We've been building sleds in Canada since 2005, tested across more than two decades of real winter conditions, and every sled is backed by a 5-year limited warranty.
One Sled, Six Ways to Work
What makes a Karyon sled different from a fixed-purpose sleigh is how it adapts. The same base sled can be configured for:
- Ice fishing, hauling your shanty, auger, and gear across the ice
- Hunting and trapping, gear in, game out
- Utility and hydro/telecom work, moving tools and materials to remote sites
- Firewood and log hauling, without the repeat trips
- ATV towing, from camp setup to recovering a stuck machine
- Military and government use, trusted by the Canadian Armed Forces
Modular Accessories for Every Job
Karyon sleds aren't a single fixed shape. A range of modular accessories, cargo boxes, racks, tie-down systems, and hitch options, clip on and off in about two minutes, no tools required. That means the same sled that hauled firewood this morning can be reconfigured for ice fishing gear by the afternoon.
Trusted Across Canada
Karyon sleds are used by hunters, trappers, hydro and telecom crews, and government agencies across the country, including teams at Hydro Québec, Bell, Rogers, Hydro One, and Telebec, along with the Canadian Armed Forces.
